Cat is a world class body painter and has successfully competed in international competitions, on her own, and as part of a team representing the UK.

Cat had plans to create a Paua Shell design on [...]]]> I was lucky enough to catch up with Cat from Cats Creations while she was visiting from the UK. Cat is a world class body painter and has successfully competed in international competitions, on her own, and as part of a team representing the UK.

Cat had plans to create a Paua Shell design on a male model and shoot at one of the West Auckland beaches. As you can see this did not exactly pan out, there is a shortage of Male models in Auckland, and with gale force winds and freezing temperatures there was no way we could shoot at the beach.

Fortunately Cat was able to to find the extremely cool and funky Leila B to model and I found the location, a very cool 1940s warehouse. The concept changed from a Paua Shell Prince to a Punk Rock Mermaid and we had a fantastic shoot.
